Crazy Train, take me home.

Home state pride! This show chorus is from rural Poca, West Virginia. I always though their team name "The Poca Dots" was cute but not very intimidating for a football rival. It's hard to make a dot look cool. They tried but I think their mascot looks like roid-rage version of the 7-Up Spot:

I google chatted these clips to my friend Kirsa who said "apparently living in the shadow of those terrifying industrial stacks has done well by them." Indeed.

P.S. I was in show choir in High School but...sadly...only preformed dumb old Edgar Winter Group's "Free Ride" and nothing nearly as "cool" as this. I just youtubed for a clip and was disappointed/elated not to find anything.

Dental Apt.

No Cavity Club - as of today 31 years...and counting.

You Tube - Christmas, home in West Virgina.

The first clip "The brie cheese" is pretty much my favorite thing ever right now.

Camera malfunction:

Photo Backlog.

I've been really bad about putting up photos (or updating the blog in general) so here's slide shows of a backlog of photos I just uploaded to Flickr of Seattle, Brooke's visits, my trip to Spokane, and Christmas. My dad got me Flip Video recorder for Christmas so I'm also going to put up some youtube videos soon.

Diapers at the Gates of Dawn.

After much consideration Heather and I have decided to have a baby. The only way we felt that Ball Deep could truly be realized was to not only talk the talk but take the team to it's obvious evolution...

by creating a kickball team entirely of our spawn.

Giving heather a month downtime between players we expect to have a fully functioning kickball team by mid 2026. Lil' Deeper, our training facility/compound will be open this November.

Seriously though...we're like totally having a baby!

Baby!!!

'Pineapple Express.

I loved Undertow and All the Real Girls but I was unsure about David Gordon Green’s Pineapple Express after the last trailer. Today’s R-Rated trailer did much to alleviate those fears.

Huckabee wins W.Va.

In defense of West Virginia I wanted to point out that that today’s primary was only for the republican primary. Contrary to popular belief the Republican Party has a pretty small presence back home. WV is primarily a blue state, somewhat blue, it’s more of a Dixiecrat state. People love Robert C. Bird because he’s pork barreled so much money to the state so the people have followed his lead and registered Democrat.

Although, maybe things are changing, Bush has won the last two elections in WV. I kind of chalked that up to the "these colors don’t run" sentiment that was running rampant throughout the whole country at the time. Maybe a West Virginia friend who reads this can clear this up. Does the makeup of West Virginia still consist mainly of pro-coal, pro-Bird democrats or have things changed so much that someone like Huckabee could win against a democrat in the general election?
